Ameron Hawaii, a supplier of concrete and aggregate products that has been around for more than a century, has changed its name to HC&D to reflect its original name, Honolulu Construction & Draying, the firm said.
Last year, Pohaku Paa LLC acquired Ameron Hawaii in an effort to return ownership and management decisions to the company’s home in Hawaii.
Pohaku Paa is headed by Hawaii developer Bill Mills. As part of the deal, Mills’ firm also purchased Island Ready-Mix Concrete from Ameron International Corp.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition to the name change, the company, which has more than 250 employees, also is unveiling an updated logo.
HC&D said it will be rolling out its new look and name on its 80-plus concrete truck feel on Oahu and Maui.
HC&D is one of the state’s top manufacturers and suppliers of aggregates and ready-mix concrete.
